Dicey (the app, we, us) is a daily quiz experience for couples and best friends, made by Seif (hello@diceytogether.app). These Terms cover the Dicey mobile app, our website at diceytogether.app, and any related Discord or web experiences we ship under the Dicey name.
By using Dicey, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Dicey is
Dicey lets two people pair up, answer quizzes privately, and compare results. Features may include invite codes and QR, daily and library quizzes, notes, nudges, optional voice notes, and similar social tools between paired people. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Eligibility
Dicey is intended for adults. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use it. If you are under 18, you should only use Dicey with a parent or guardian’s permission where that is required.
Accounts and pairing
Dicey uses anonymous accounts so you can play without creating a classic email/password signup. You are responsible for anyone who has access to your device, invite codes, recovery codes, and pair threads. Keep recovery codes private. If you share an invite or recovery code, the other person may join or re-link that thread.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Dicey for illegal, abusive, harassing, or exploitative purposes.
- Upload or share content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors.
- Attempt to break into, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer our servers or other users’ data beyond normal app use.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent who you are paired with in a harmful way.
- Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the service.
We may suspend or remove access if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you create in Dicey (for example display names, notes, feedback, and optional voice notes). You give us permission to store, process, and show that content as needed to run the product, including syncing it to the person you are paired with. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
Third-party services
Dicey relies on third parties such as Supabase (backend), Expo/EAS (builds and updates), and app stores (distribution). Their terms and policies also apply when you use those platforms. If we offer Dicey inside Discord or similar platforms, that platform’s terms apply too.
No guarantees
Dicey is provided “as is.” We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect quiz matching, or that the app will always be available on every device or store. Relationship quizzes are for entertainment; they are not professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Dicey. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Dicey in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
Termination
You can stop using Dicey anytime: leave threads in Settings, uninstall, or email us to request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may stop providing the service or your access if we shut Dicey down, need to comply with the law, or if you break these Terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If a change is material, we may also note it in the app or on this site.
